The May regular meeting of Cibolo Lodge honored Mother’s Day and the Mothers in our lodge. Congratulations to Tina Ynfante who won a $20 Gift Card in our Mother’s Day drawing.

The lodge is excited to welcome new junior members Essence Bouldin, Zachary Bouldin, Dymond Wright, Stephanie Rogers, Emily Elizalof, Madisyn Patino and Danielle Durocher.

Tina Ynfante gave a short report regarding application deadlines for camp. The deadline is quickly approaching and you cannot apply for camp until you application has been approved. Camp applications are available and should be sent as soon as possible to be assured that your chosen session will be available. Tina informed members that she’d have surgery in the week following, but she hoped to heal quickly and be back at work! Our prayers will be with Tina for a speedy recovery.

Members voted to make donations to the West, Texas Relief Fund and to the Corpus Christi food bank. John Gray and Joy Brown will be representing the lodge at the State Convention and the check for the food bank will be presented then.

Preliminary plans are made for the Flag Day Ceremony at Cibolo City Hall. The ceremony will be held on Friday, June 14th at a time to be determined. Be sure to watch this newsletter or contact any lodge members for additional details. This is always a moving ceremony in tribute to our Nation’s Flag and dedicated to the memory of Pat Osborn.

Popcorn sales were outstanding. The lodge raised over $600 for their Matching Funds Project to benefit Mended Little Hearts. Mended Little Hearts assists families of children with heart defects and has been of great service to some of our own lodge members. The checks will be presented at the annual Christmas Party on Sunday, December 8th.

Gail Gray’s Cucumber Salad and Sherry Rakowitz’s Carrot Cake were voted this month’s favorites. Attendance prize winners were Jerry Rakowtiz, Fay Fey and Zane Gray. The special drawing winner was Travis Mosley who was not present to claim his prize. Members were honored to have Mrs. Evenlyn Zuercher, Sherry Rakowitz’s mother, visit with us.

Please plan to join us for our next regular meeting on Thursday, June 6th at 7 p.m. at Harmon’s Bar-B-Que in Cibolo.
