Five year old Brenley Beirstedt opened the meeting with an awesome prayer, followed by The Pledge of Allegiance and Honor to the Texas Flag. President John Gray shared the Grand Lodge new newsletter and correspondence he has received since the last meeting along with a certificate for Home for the Pets and Seasons Greetings from the Grand Lodge.
For dinner we had delicious homemade tamales, chili and beans, macaroni and cheese, cornbread and fresh salsa. For dessert we had yummy choices like Rolo chocolate cookies, banana pudding, and spice cake to name a few and yes everyone tried everything and we enjoyed every bite!
Happy Birthday wishes for January go to our beautiful ladies, Joy Brown and Mary Ann Gray.
Our adult attendance winners were Gail Gray and Cory Rakowitz and the junior winner was Cheyanne Kuhlman.
Jonathan Bierstedt was selected as the Special Drawing winner but was not present so the $34 prize increases for the next meeting.
The members present selected Sherry Rakowitz’s as a double header winner of the side dish and dessert of chili and beans and banana pudding respectively, and let me tell you they were delicious and worthy of the honor!
All our officers are looking forward to the District Installation of Officers to be held at the Seguin Lodge on Saturday, January 9 2016 and we thank Seguin Lodge for their hospitality!
