Join hands day will be on May 21 at Texas Lutheran University’s Jackson Auditorium and there will be a change this year. The recital has become to large to for just one recital so the first one will be at 2:30 pm and the second one at 5:30 pm. We will pass out flowers to the dancers that have ordered them at both times. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy the performances which are always fantastic!

The convention wrapped up this week and our delegates reported that it was very informative. The name change was voted on and approved now it goes to the State Insurance Board of Texas. They were also collecting donations for the Grief Support Camp that will be offered at summer camp now. Sponsorship is $50 per child and it supports a child that has lost a sibling or parent. Our two delegates, John Gray and Sherry Rakowitz donated their mileage reimbursement of $50 each to the grief support program and member Shana Wiley offered $50 cash to sponsor an additional child. We took a check for $150.00 to the Grand Lodge as a donation to support three (3) campers this year.

Our rummage sale is set and will be held in the parking lot on September 16 here at Christ the King Lutheran Church beginning at 8 am so mark your calendar and come out and help us support the Clemens 4H.
