Cibolo Lodge held its September meeting on Thursday the 5th, enjoying brisket sandwiches prior to the meeting.

Lodge members were pleased to accept new junior members; Dakota Riley St Denis, Averie Mae Woodward, Alexandria Goymerac, Peyton Jarzombek, Isabelle Jarzombek, Ellisen Tatsch, Kaely Cisco, Sydney Robinson and William Robinson

Agent, Tina Ynfante, reported she wrote 11 applications in August and had already written 3 for September. She reported that a new application was being used that was much simpler and potential new members should find that reflected in their application.

Members will meet on October 6th for the final planning of the Christmas Party to be held on December 8, 2013 at Schertz Community Center, Building B. Tickets can be purchased by contacting any lodge member. This is always a fun event and some perfect picture taking opportunities without standing in the long lines!

Cheer committee, Dorothy Schneider, reported that birthday cards were sent to Margie Reinhard (91), Wallace Reimann (87), Betty Lou Schulz (85), Ida Mae Connor (88) and Eula Burton(87). Sympathy cards were sent to the family of Wanda Koch who passed on July 1st and to Paula Watts for the loss of her son.

There were many things to celebrate in September. We welcomed Brother Irvin Schneider,  who is celebrating 50 years as a Cibolo Lodge member. Celebrating their birthdays in September are Cory Rakowitz, Tina Ynfante and Zane Gray. Zane turned 16 and is now the proud holder of a Texas Driver’s License. John and Gail Gray celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary, this month, also. Congratulations to all these members and their accomplishments.

Attendance prize winners were Cliff Shepherd, Cory Rakowitz and Sarah Shepherd. The special drawing prize winner was Miranda McCall, who was not present to claim her prize. The pot will be $28 for the October meeting. Remember, you must be present to win this special drawing.

The next regular meeting will be Thursday, October 3rd at Harmon’s Bar-B-Que in Cibolo. This will be the annual Halloween Costume Contest. There are always some fun and interesting costumes at this contest. Please plan to join us.
